Mocking religion? Always a good thing in my book.
Starting another new religion? NEVER a good thing.
I mean sure right now everybody understands that it's a parody and probably attend the services with their tongue firmly implanted in their cheek, but fifty to a hundred years down the line this could be the next tax exempt place of worship fighting to get their creation story taught in middle school science classes.
You know I bet those early Christians thought it was all for shits and giggles too.
But then the next thing you know you have some guy building a tax funded amusement park in Kentucky paying homage to a children's story about a giant boat.
Slippery slope my friends.
