Hollins is a Pasadena native who played high school ball for John Muir located in Pasadena. He continued playing basketball at UCLA for 4 years where he was later drafted by the Charlotte Bobcats in 2006. He has played with 7 different teams is as many years including the LA Clippers from 2012 - 2014 and now plays for the Sacramento Kings.
