North Korea's foreign minister said Monday that President Donald Trump has "declared war" on his country and that Kim Jong Un's regime would consider shooting down American bombers.
"Since the U.S. declared war on our country, we will have every right to make countermeasures, including the right to shoot down the U.S. bombers even when they are not yet inside the airspace border of our country," Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho told reporters in New York.
"Last weekend, Trump claimed that our leadership wouldn't be around much longer and he declared a war on our country," he added. "Even the fact that this comes from someone who is currently holding the seat of the U.S. presidency is clearly a declaration of war."
Jesus Christ!
You know I totally agree that North Korea is a bad actor and deserves to be dealt with harshly.
But there are a lot of far more effective ways to do that then to force them into a corner where they feel they have no choice but to use military force to prove they are not intimidated.
This Kim Jong Un is clearly extremely insecure about his hold on his country and his actual power in the world.
That is something that could be used against him by an real leader with a strategic mind.
Unfortunately for us we also have a leader who is extremely insecure about his hold on his country and his actual power in the world.
And that does not bode well for a peaceful resolution to this situation.
P.S. Later Trump operatives came out to say they are NOT declaring war on North Korea, but the problem is that North Korea is listening to what Donald Trump says, not his operatives.
