Scores of moms and women from across the country gathered in Omaha, Nebraska with a mission to reclaim their children’s “heritage through faith, family, freedom and the Constitution.”
The Mom’s March for America, organized by Homemakers for America, was dubbed as a voice for moms concerned about a moral decline across the country and an answer to the Women’s March that took place in DC earlier this year.
"We had just seen a couple months prior in D.C., this women's march that frankly didn't represent myself or any women I knew," said Dawn Wildman of Mom’s March for America.
The event only attracted about 300, though they bragged that thousands were probably going to watch the livestream.
However if they were planning to as counterpoint to the Women's March they failed miserably, as THAT gathering attracted 2.6 million.
But hey this gathering had something that rally back in January didn't have,
The Wasilla Wendigo:
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin took the time to encourage the women attending, particularly the moms.
"The best day in my life was the day I became a mom...No better job in the world. None more exciting, none more important," Palin told the women. "It is a war out there for our children's future," she continued.
She went on to speak about the importance of seizing the moment.
“You gotta seek out those opportunities to be in the battle when God has an open door for you,” she said.
You know if she enjoyed being a mom so much, you might think she would have actually spent time with her kids, or stayed home with a newborn rather than losing an election to be vice president.
This is just another of a long line of failed attempts by conservatives to compete with the progressives.
Liberals throw a giant history making rally to protest Donald Trump, and the conservatives host some tiny, poorly attended knitting circle in an attempt to compete.
It's just goddamn sad is what it is.
Here's a little helpful hint for the future.
If the only "celebrity" speakers you can attract to your little soiree are Candy Carson and Sarah Palin your best move is to call the whole thing off and just accept the fact that you are really bad at organizing things.
