If Hillary Clinton asked him, Al Franken says, he would gladly join the presumptive Democratic nominee as her running mate.
The Minnesota senator said in an interview with the Associated Press that to his knowledge, he is not being vetted for a vice presidential bid, but Franken, a former comedian and “Saturday Night Live” writer, has been a longtime Clinton backer and would jump on board the campaign if invited.
“If Hillary Clinton came to me and said, ‘Al, I really need you to be my vice president, to run with me,’ I would say yes,” Franken said. “But I’m very happy in the job that I have right now.”
Don;t get me wrong, I am all in for Warren.
But damn could you even imagine the entertainment value of having Al Franken on stage during the Vice Presidential debates?
That never ceases to impress me.
I wonder if they could work in a map drawing competition as part of the debate?
