David French appeared on Morning Joe this morning to say that there is a path forward for a third party candidate, and to complain about Donald Trump's racist supporters.

Even before his name was floated as a third-party challenger to Donald Trump, National Review staff writer David French said he already had neighbors concerned about attacks in his neighborhood and his youngest daughter had been the subject of racially motivated abuse online.

Trump, French told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Tuesday, "unlocked something terrible in this country."

French said his wife's family in Tennessee had received a call from someone who said he was with Trump's operation and said he was “instructed to call and deliver a message that the race would be very difficult for me."

"Well, you know, it was probably one of the more ham-handed attempts at intimidation, which out of the Trump operation you can expect things to be done in most incompetent way possible," French said, going into more detail about the call. "An individual calls — he says, 'I'm sorry, but I've been asked by the Trump campaign to make sure that David knows this will be really, really bad for him.'"

Let me just point out the huge pile of irony here that a man whose wife worked for Sarah Palin is complaining about being attacked by anybody's rabid supporters.

I can tell you that I would have much preferred having some asshole make a vague statement about it being bad for me to continue doing what I was doing back in 2009, than to have them call the school where I had worked for four years and tell them they were going to shoot me in front of the children.

If French was that easily intimidated he has no business being in politics at all.

This is also the first time that I have heard David French speak, and the very idea that he could stand in front of a room with that whiny high pitched voice of his and inspire them to vote for him is completely ridiculous.

You know after I posted about French making rules for his wife that she could not talk to other men, drink, or access Facebook, while he was deployed overseas some commenters started to refer to him as a "cuckold." And I have to admit that from the moment he started to talk that is exactly what I thought of him as well.

What an incredibly unimpressive individual.
