As it turned out Hughes seemingly good humored response to the SNL bit was only a facade.

After her appearance on CNN, Hughes spoke candidly with The Blaze about how she was portrayed.
“You’ve never known ‘SNL’ to parody any conservative in a positive way — either male or female,” she said, adding, “I don’t get paid to be positive about Mr. Trump. I’ve never been paid by him.”
“I’m a little shaken after this,” she said of the “SNL” skit. “I had no idea this was coming.”
Since the episode aired, Hughes shared that “tears have been shed” and friends have reached out to ask how she is doing.
“Those who know me know that I’m actually a very insecure person. I read every tweet,” she said.
Yes isn't it a shame when somebody recognizes your lunacy and puts it on TV for all the world to see?
Let's not forget that this is the same woman who describes herself as a, "gun-fearing, gun-toting, baby-loving, traditional marriage believing, SUV I don’t care about my carbon imprint driving, border securing, Benghazi truth seeking...lame stream media smacking, sip my sweet tea from a Big Gulp drinking, RINO hunting, target of IRS auditing, ‘one nation under God’ pledging mom."
I'm not a psychiatrist, but that does come off as a LITTLE unhinged.
So with all that in mind, exactly why does CNN allow her to participate in supposedly serious panel discussions about politics?
