Video surfaced Thursday of a Donald Trump supporter punching a protester in the face at the Republican presidential front-runner's rally in North Carolina on Wednesday.
The footage shows a white man in a cowboy hat walk down the row to the aisle where protesters are leaving and sucker-punch an African-American man, later identified as Rakeem Jones.
Moments before the attack, the protester appeared to wave a middle-finger at the crowd on his way out. Men in uniforms that read “Sheriff’s Office ” were leading the protesters away.
Jones accused Cumberland County officers of failing to protect him.
“The police jumped on me like I was the one swinging," he told The Washington Post.
It looks as if the Trump supporter was charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
So that's something at least.
Unfortunately it is not just protesters attacking minorities, it is also campaign staff roughing up women.
Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski forcibly yanked Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields out of the way after his press conference in Florida on Tuesday night.
Fields was attempting to ask Trump a question as he exited the press conference. Secret Service was starting to clear a path, when Fields was forcibly grabbed on her arm by Lewandowski, moving her out of the way and nearly bringing her down to the ground, a source who witnessed the situation told POLITICO.
Fields was clearly roughed up by the move, the witness said.
Good plan to alienate minorities and women while waging a national campaign.
