Season seven of “The Good Wife” brings about a new path in life for Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) and a few new friends along the way.
“Alicia needs to make some money and no law firm will hire her.” said Margulies of her character. “So in the premiere you see her go to bond court, which a lot of lawyers look down on because it’s a very tough job and it’s sort of where people go who can’t get into law firms.”
In the course of her new job, Alicia meets Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo), a fellow lawyer who competes for her clients in the beginning.
“Lucca’s slowly realizes that she’s struggling and the two of them really bond,” said Jumbo of her characters developing relationship with Alicia. “She has this incredible ease about her.”
Another addition to this season of “The Good Wife” is Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Jason Crouse.
“We know that he (Jason) was a lawyer at one time and he beat up a judge and is thrown in prison now he is obviously out and he can’t practice law anymore,” Dean reveals about his character. “He’s been disbarred and becomes an investigator and begins working with Alicia.”
“The Good Wife” returns for its seventh season on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 8:00-9:00p.m. Mtn time.
