Strongsville-native Colagrossi, 49, suffered brain aneurysm and massive heart attack

Former WKYC news anchor Lisa Colagrossi passed away early Saturday morning.

Colagrossi, 49, was working on an assignment at WABC in New York when she suddenly became ill on Thursday.

She was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.

As wkyc wrote, doctors have determined Colagrossi suffered a brain aneurysm and a massive heart attack.

Colagrossi was born and raised in Strongsville.

At WKYC, Colagrossi was teamed up with Jim Hooley when the weekend morning news first launched. She was also a weekend anchor with Cory Thompson on the evening shift.

Besides working at WKYC and WABC, she worked at WKMG-TV/Orlando.
